We are a multi-award-winning housebuilder that operates nationally across 5 regions. We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our Special Projects Division focusing on Internal Fire Safety works.
You’ll be capable of working as a team, and coordinating the different contributors to a project, and using your first-class communication skills you will effectively motivate and communicate with the wider teams, in order to influence others to ensure that the required programmes are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review FRA’s and prepare briefing documents of actions points for Crest, Contractors & RE/RP’s. Inc co-ordination of Mark-up plans of area of works. (link between Pre-assessment team & Technical Managers)
* Review Firestopping (FS) & Fire door (FD) surveys.
* Site visits to review accuracy of FS/FD surveys and inspect quality of internal remedial works.
* Advise of Firestopping compartmentation & fire door remedial details/methods.
* Advise on allocation of FD non-compliance items between Defect & Repair.
* Review contractor’s remedial proposals.
* Review Firestopping FS & FD completion QA reports & Certifications.
* Assist in tracking the Golden Tread packs.
* Assist on Fire Strategy proposals until RFSS plans are finalised.
* Assist with internal remedial works detail for HRB Gateway2 applications.
Qualifications
* Needs to be a "competent person" with deep knowledge of Building safety legislation such as BSA 2022, Building Regulations, CDM, building types including HRB’s, and specifically internal fire remediation works.
* The role requires an individual with both strong on-site practical experience and desk top experience.
* Qualification desirable but not essential: European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 5+ qualifications or similar, professional body registration (like BAFE SP205/IFSM/IFE)
