Position: Legal Secretary / Paralegal (Property)
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid working available)
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 DOE

Pertemps are proud to be working with a highly regarded firm in Edinburgh who are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to support their busy property team.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Preparing, formatting, and updating legal documentation and correspondence with precision
2. Supporting the full property transaction process – from initial searches and registrations to liaising with clients and external parties
3. Managing client and matter onboarding/offboarding, including AML and conflict checks
4. Organising team diaries, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel when required
5. Assisting with billing, invoicing, and other financial admin tasks
6. Keeping both digital and physical files organised, scanned, and up-to-date
7. Acting as a first point of contact for clients, providing updates and handling enquiries with professionalism
About you:
8. Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal, ideally within a property or conveyancing setting
9. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask
11. Confident communicator, both in writing and over the phone
12. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with legal case management systems
13. Knowledge of property processes, including Land Registry and SDLT, is highly advantageous
14. Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to support wherever needed
