MAIN PURPOSE:
The postholder will be responsible for providing cleaning, catering and laundry services within a designated facility.
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparing beverages, snacks, preparation and cooking of meals as per menu
2. Ordering food, maintaining adequate stocks and ensuring good stock rotation
3. Complying with all food hygiene control systems
4. Labelling and dating of food on delivery
5. Ensuring food is correctly and safely stored
6. Dishwashing
7. Cleaning all kitchen equipment
8. Cleaning of sinks, baths, toilets, showers and urinals.
9. Damp cleaning of furniture, fixtures, fittings, paintwork, tiles and glass partitions.
10. All floor maintenance vacuuming, damp mopping, spray-cleaning, burnishing, machine scrubbing and shampooing.
11. Hand washing of non-launderable items
12. Laundering and ironing of personal clothing, bed linen, towels etc.
13. Cleaning laundry equipment
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Paid experience in cleaning for a large organisation
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
Experience in working within a health and social care environment
Basic food hygiene certificate OR equivalent cooking qualification
