Role Description
We are seeking a Team Leader for our 'Humber Stewardship Partnership', a full‑time role based in Hull.
The Team Leader will oversee and manage environmental projects, coordinate with team members and stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of conservation initiatives. Responsibilities include line management and mentoring of a field team including apprentices, leading activities such as habitat management and clean‑up projects, and engaging with local communities and partners.
A significant feature of the role is also collaboration with colleagues from Riverlution Stewardship Company on planning and execution of jointly delivered commercial projects. The role also involves monitoring project outcomes, reporting progress, and identifying new opportunities for growth and community impact.
Qualifications
* Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills
* Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and delivering community‑focused initiatives
* Knowledge of environmental conservation practices, including habitat management, invasive species control, and biodiversity enhancement
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with team members, local communities, and partner organizations
* Organizational and time‑management skills for project planning, reporting, and scheduling
* Proficiency in basic IT tools and project management software
* A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for on‑site project management
* Relevant qualifications or experience in environmental science, ecology, or a related field
* Commitment to promoting inclusivity and participation within diverse communities
