This is a brand-new role, supporting a 1GW UK onshore wind portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in high-voltage systems to step into a position where you can shape the long-term performance of major renewable energy assets. What You’ll Do Carry out HV switching and routine substation maintenance Diagnose faults and replace major electrical components Record and follow maintenance procedures and ensure compliance Provide technical assistance and engineering expertise across operations, procurement, and H&S teams Manage preventive and corrective maintenance on BOP, switchgears, transformers, generators, and converters Conduct RCA analysis for electrical component failures and ensure follow-up actions Maintain grid compliance and respond to audits What We’re Looking For Electrical background Experience with High Voltage Electrical systems Strong fault-finding skills Safety-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Authorised Person status is a plus Able to travel to sites within 2 hours of Inverness This is a hands-on technical role with real impact on renewable energy performance across the UK.
