Clinical Educator Support

The Emergency department thrives in delivering excellent care and sees itself as highly skilled. We are looking for a Clinical Educator support to work alongside the Clinical Educator and manager to ensure high standards of patient care. You will work alongside the Clinical Educator to ensure all training needs for the staff are met and help ensure the Department has the staff trained to deliver high quality patient‑centered care.


Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Clinical Educator Support to work closely with the Clinical Educator and Department manager to support the development of the nursing team by exhibiting excellent standards, delivering high quality evidence‑based care, leading and developing high quality evidence‑based care, and using a range of skills to support the Nursing team identifying and actioning areas of training and development required within the Department. With a particular focus on learning lessons and governance. You will need to demonstrate excellent standards, be willing to support all areas of the unit, and have the leadership skills to support the Department and its Senior Team.

Person Specification


Occupational Experience

* Significant experience care experience
* Completed the level 1 RCN Emergency Care competency framework
* Experience of managing a team/area in the ED
* Supervision of Junior Staff
* Training in Handling and administration of blood
* Leadership skills and knowledge
* Involvement in change management
* Training in Clinical Supervision
* Clinical Audit training
* Provider status ALS/EPALS/TNCC


Education and Qualifications

* Current NMC professional Registration
* Evidence of ongoing professional development within relevant field
* Evidence of clinical teaching
* Leadership Qualification
* Evidence of clinical skills competence


Personal Qualities

* Must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of core trust values and be able to articulate in practice
* Organisational skills
* Consistent approach
* Reliable and flexible
* Committed to high professional standards
