Capgemini Invent delivers transformation consulting services. This senior consultant role is part of the Programme and Change Acceleration (P&CA) team.
YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Consultant in the Programme and Change Acceleration team, you will lead and support the delivery of complex business transformation and change initiatives across multiple sectors, applying programme expertise to help clients achieve successful, sustainable change.
Key Responsibilities
* Independently lead the execution of workstreams on client delivery and mentor/coach junior team members, enabling capability development and growth of the team.
* Support the delivery of business transformation initiatives by championing P3M methodologies, tools, and processes across client engagements, and contribute to the advancement of P&CA thought leadership.
* Embed governance, controls and reporting to enable effective oversight and standardisation at all levels of transformation initiatives.
* Contribute to the development of internal training pathways to strengthen P&CA capability and provide coaching to junior members.
* Apply a commercial mindset to proactively identify new opportunities to support clients and help shape P&CA service offers.
* Engage in business development activities, including proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitches and hosting at events.
* Participate in internal contribution activities such as campaign development, think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice and offering development.
* Participate in learning and development, including training and certifications.
Required Skills and Experience
* Proven track record of delivering complex transformation initiatives across multiple industries, with expertise in programme governance, stakeholder management and risk management.
* Experience managing workstreams or small projects on client engagements, leading high‑performing teams and delegating tasks to direct reports.
* Experience and expertise across multiple P3M methodologies and approaches.
* Strong commercial awareness, including the ability to identify and convert sales opportunities and manage budgets effectively.
* Demonstrated skills in people development through coaching and managing others.
* Currently working in a major consulting firm, or in industry with prior consulting experience.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Hold relevant P3M qualifications – e.g. MSP, MoP, P3O from Axelos; PMQ, PPQ and/or ChPP from APM; PMP and/or PgMP from PMI; PRINCE2 Practitioner or agile equivalents.
* Experience supporting portfolio management, including planning, governance and reporting.
* Experience working within the UK public sector and understanding of government governance frameworks, delivery environments and stakeholder landscapes.
* Proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organisation and enlist support and commitment from peers to sell and deliver consulting solutions.
* Experience in proposition building and delivery.
* Open to obtaining a UK security vetting status of Security Check (SC) within six months if not already held.

Hybrid working model with flexible arrangements; all UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements. Employees can work from office locations in London, Manchester or Glasgow, but must be fully flexible for assignments that may involve short‑notice relocation.
