Purpose of the role
We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven Business Development Manager - Digital Risk & Advisory for BSI Digital Trust across the UK and Ireland to spearhead the growth of our digital risk and security testing services. This role is designed for a "hunter" sales professional, who thrives in identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities, with a focus on security testing and digital risk advisory services. Once a sale is closed, the new business will be handed over to a Business Development Manager (BDM) to manage client relations.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, strategic, and have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity landscape. You will play a critical role in expanding our client base, positioning BSI as a trusted partner for organisations seeking to manage digital risks and enhance security in both the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Drive new business development by actively hunting for opportunities across UK and Ireland markets, focusing on security testing and digital risk advisory services.
- Identify and engage potential clients, develop relationships, and generate high-quality leads within target industries including finance, healthcare, retail, etc.
- Understand customer pain points and requirements to present tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets, building a strong sales pipeline.
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders to position BSI as a preferred partner.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead qualification to closing.
- Collaborate closely with BDMs to ensure seamless handover and client experience.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends, threats, and innovations in digital risk and cybersecurity.
- Provide regular sales pipeline updates, progress reports, and market insights to senior management.

Key Performance Indicators
- Number of new business sales meetings
- Pipeline development
- Sales revenue
- Forecasting accuracy

Additional KPIs include CRM administrative tasks, training, and personal development.

Qualifications
- Strong cybersecurity knowledge, familiarity with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and digital risk advisory.
- Proven sales success with at least 5 years in new business sales, preferably in cybersecurity or IT services sectors.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
- CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, ZoomInfo).
- Fluent in English.

Skills and Abilities
- Hunter mentality with drive and persistence.
- Strategic and solution-oriented sales approach.
- Client-centric, with a consultative selling style.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education & Qualifications
- Degree or professional equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
