About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Business Partner to lead procurement activity within the People category, supporting services such as Adult Social Care, Children’s Services, Public Health. This is a pivotal role within our Corporate Procurement Team, driving value for money, compliance, and social value across high‑impact contracts.
Salary: £55,461- £59,414
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the lead advisor for procurement within the People category, developing and implementing category strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across People services to understand needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
* Lead a category team in delivering end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and internal governance.
* Deliver value for money, embedding social value and sustainability into procurement outcomes.
* Manage and mentor junior procurement staff, fostering professional development and high performance.
* Contribute to the development of procurement policies and strategies, identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
About You
* Proven experience in public sector procurement, ideally within People services.
* Strong knowledge of UK procurement legislation and frameworks.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
* Strategic thinker with a hands‑on approach to delivery.
