A growing organisation in the smart buildings and mission-critical space is seeking a technically capable, delivery-driven BMS Project Manager to support an expanding portfolio of data centre projects across the UK. The position offers long-term work into 2026, clear progression opportunities, and the chance to influence how smart building systems are deployed in high-performance environments.
You will take ownership of BMS delivery from early-stage design review through to procurement, installation, commissioning, and final client handover. This includes coordinating integration between common BMS platforms and wider building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and life safety. You will ensure control strategies align with operational performance objectives and energy efficiency targets, while maintaining strong governance across timelines, budget, resourcing, and delivery reporting.
You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers, driving collaboration, maintaining momentum, and ensuring key milestones are met. Alongside delivery leadership, you will provide technical oversight by validating system architecture, reviewing control panel layouts, interpreting control schematics and network diagrams, and ensuring installation and commissioning activity meets specification and recognised commissioning standards, including ASHRAE Level 15.
You will be expected to identify risks early, resolve technical and delivery issues quickly, and implement corrective actions with minimal disruption to site activity. You will also ensure all documentation is complete and client-ready, including commissioning records, test evidence, as-built information, and O&M manuals.
To succeed in this role, you will have proven experience managing BMS projects in commercial and/or mission-critical environments, strong knowledge of protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks, and familiarity with major BMS platforms currently used across the industry. You will be comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, communicating clearly with senior stakeholders, and bringing a proactive, quality-focused mindset with strong attention to safety and client outcomes. You must have the right to work in the UK. Data centre experience is beneficial, but not essential.
The organisation offers a supportive and collaborative delivery environment, exposure to high-profile projects, and a strong pipeline of work through 2026, alongside competitive day rates/salary and benefits (where applicable). It is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds and experience levels. xsngvjr Unsolicited CVs from recruitment agencies are not accepted; any CVs received will be treated as a gift and no fees will be payable.
