Job Summary
The Site-Based Project Manager will have overall responsibility for the delivery of construction projects on site. The role covers site management, planning, coordination, and operational control, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Due to the nature of this site, the role also requires an understanding of asbestos management and removal processes, ensuring all related works are planned, coordinated, and carried out in line with current legislation and site-specific controls.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the site team, ensuring duties are carried out effectively and professionally

Ensure quality management systems and operating procedures are followed
*
Maintain a positive site culture, promoting teamwork, morale, and performance
*
Implement and manage efficient project management processes and systems
*
Act as the primary point of contact with the client and professional stakeholders
*
Ensure project values, standards, and behaviours are embedded across the site team
*
Drive adoption and effective use of project management and reporting systems
*
Oversee and coordinate asbestos-related works in line with approved method statements and legislation
*
Ensure all asbestos activities are planned, communicated, and safely controlled
*
Support wider social value and sustainability initiatives where appropriate
*
Undertake additional duties as required to support project delivery
Daily Objectives
Manage and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
Liaise with the client and key stakeholders
Maintain labour and resource planning tools
Complete daily site records, reports, and diaries
Monitor site activities to ensure asbestos-related controls are adhered to
Weekly Objectives

Produce and maintain short-term look-ahead programmes

Chair and attend internal progress and coordination meetings
*
Track actions, risks, and delays
*
Update construction programmes and site plans
*
Prepare progress reports for senior management and client meetings
*
Review upcoming asbestos works and ensure all training, permits, and controls are in place
Other Responsibilities
Attend and lead client, progress, and stakeholder meetings
Coordinate with building control, clerks of works, and consultants
Manage and implement design changes
Monitor and report on delays, risks, and asbestos-related issues
Take full ownership of site delivery and client-facing responsibilities
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Site-Based Project Manager within construction
Strong knowledge of site management, programming, and subcontractor coordination
Valid CSCS card (or equivalent)
Asbestos awareness and/or asbestos removal-related training appropriate to site requirements
Demonstrable understanding of asbestos legislation, safe systems of work, and compliance
