You will play a key role in ensuring learners with Education, Health and Care Plans receive outstanding support, seamless transition into college, and the right strategies to help them succeed.About the RoleAs an Inclusive Learning Advisor, you will work closely with the EHCP/SEND Team Leader to manage a caseload of High Needs learners. You'll be responsible for:Conducting pre-entry assessments and ongoing reviews to ensure appropriate support.Leading EHCP consultations, creating Inclusion Support Plans and Inclusive Passports.Liaising with Local Authorities to assess whether the college can meet prospective learners' needs.Supporting curriculum and support teams with planning and implementing high-quality provision.Chairing interim and annual EHCP reviews and ensuring all documentation is completed to deadline.Monitoring learner progress, keeping accurate records using ProSolution and ProMonitor, and ensuring students develop the skills required for adulthood.Providing 1:1 interventions and assisting students in accessing assistive technologies.Collaborating with schools, families, external agencies, and internal college teams to support transition.Representing the college at open events, school visits, and parents' evenings.This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days look the same, you'll be problem-solving, advocating, planning, mentoring, and building strong relationships across the organisation.About You We're looking for someone who is:Experienced in supporting learners with SEND, ideally in a post-16 setting.Knowledgeable about the EHCP process, High Needs funding, and current SEND legislation.A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to chair reviews and meetings.Organised, methodical, and committed to maintaining high-quality records.Skilled in building positive relationships with learners, families, staff, and external partners.Self-motivated, professional, and passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.Essential requirements include:Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or above)Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience supporting learners with a range of needsStrong planning and organisational abilitiesUnderstanding of EDI, safeguarding, and health & safety in educationA SEND-related qualification and a full driving licence are desirable.
