Head of Operations – NW/ North Wales– Diagnostics
About the Company:
We are looking for a highly experienced Operations Manager with a history of managing cross functional teams to join a leading company and their expanding site in the Northwest/ North Wales area. This is a site-based role.
Responsibilities:
* Strategy development and execution.
* Oversee technical support for manufacturing.
* Build and develop a high-performing Operations team.
* Ensure full compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, MHRA, and support audits, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
* Lead and contribute to technical projects.
* Act as a key technical partner across Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and external stakeholders.
* Manage budgets, resources, and operational planning to maintain efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.
* Lead robust root cause investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
* Champion a proactive Environmental, Health & Safety culture across the team.
Requirements:
* Degree in Life Sciences or related.
* Significant experience in diagnostics, biotechnology or biopharmaceutical manufacturing technical support.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
* A good knowledge of immunoassays.
* Experience in continuous improvement, process validation and technical transfer.
