Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYTA) * Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYTA) role in: Handsworth Wood * Starting date: September 2025 * Salary: £90 - £105 per day * Temporary Contract, ongoing position * Full Time Vacancy (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday) Early Years Teaching Assistant Specification We are currently seeking a nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYTA) to work in a Primary School based in Handsworth Wood on a full-time and long-term basis. Our client is looking for a hands-on Early Years Teaching Assistant to support within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working alongside experienced practitioners to help create a positive and engaging learning environment for young children. The school offers a warm and welcoming environment with a supportive team who are passionate about early childhood education. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant you will play a vital role in helping young learners gain the foundation skills they need to thrive as they begin their educational journey. Working as an EYTA in our client's school you will: * Support the class teacher in delivering age-appropriate learning activities * Foster children's learning through play-based approaches and structured routines * Work 1:1 and in small groups to support children's development across all areas of learning * Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents * Assist with observations, assessments, and record-keeping * Encourage and model positive behaviour and communication * Contribute to a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment Requirements: * A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent * A genuine passion for working with young children * A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning and development * Hold a Level 1 Safeguarding qualification * Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with children and adults * An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service If you're an Early Years Teaching Assistant who feels this opportunity is the right fit - or if you know someone who would thrive in this environment - please apply today.
