Joining a busy team you will efficiently process sales orders, handle customer sales enquires and quotations whilst providing effective administration support to the smooth running of the team. CONTRACTED HOURS: 40 hours per week (Monday Friday 08:00-16.30) Office based ENVIRONMENT: Demanding rapid response distribution unit KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES: Raise, process and update system with sales orders, taking information from schedules / quotations Liaise with customers and clients over the phone and via emails, ensuring high levels of customer service is maintained at all times Liaise regularly with internal departments Use correct processes to ensure all sales enquiries are handled and managed from identification through to resolution, in an effective and professional manner Manage accounts and assist with the progression of orders Ensure the correct price is used and prices are maintained to reflect the latest pricelist Ensure all buying activities are carried out in accordance with procurement processes Identify opportunities to continually improve processes Resolve customer enquiries and issues that may arise in a swift and efficient manner Provide general administrative duties Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities defined in the company Health and Safety policy Ensure the quality and accuracy of all information is accurate and timely MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 3 GCSEs, or equivalent, including English and Maths, at Grade C or above Strong customer service and sales background Proficient with Microsoft packages (including Word and Excel) Experience in a previous role would be desirable A background in sales would be advantageous KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: Must be proactive and have a positive approach Customer Focused Extremely high standards of courtesy Detailed and methodical.
