The Early Support Team are looking to recruit an experienced full time, Family Support Worker to join the countywide service. Building on the excellent work of the Early Help team we would now like to further extend our community-based family support work offer and build community capacity to deliver early intervention. It is essential that the successful candidate is confident in working with the community and talking to groups of children, families, community groups and professionals and providing immediate advice and guidance. Role includes: Family Support drop in’s (Children and Family Centres and other community venues). Family Support line delivering direct interventions and providing immediate advice and guidance. Supporting the delivery of parenting programmes alongside the Family and Relationship Team as required. Allocation of children and families for direct interventions and the initiation of Early Support will take place in exceptional circumstances. Provide pro-active Early Support to children, young people and families including: Young parents, under the age of 21 years. Under 5’s for example those not meeting their developmental milestones. Supporting families to wait well while referrals to a service or support from RISE/CAMHS or wider CWPT services progress. The Early Support team is made up of 8fte Family Support Workers working countywide and will require individuals to work in the 5 districts/boroughs across the county.
