JOB DETAILSThe role of account manager is to grow and develop the existing client base around the central region of the UK, so need to be located near our Bristol or Brosmgrove offices.
You will be delivering on client requirements with strong value propositions. In addition, you will prospect for new business following our business development methodology and using your expert questioning techniques to open new opportunities across our solutions portfolio. This is an individual contributor role.
For roles with office-based hybrid working: A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week.
Account managers are expected to attend daily meetings with their client base, develop new opportunities, source prospective clients and build a long-term sustainable pipeline.
You will participate in a weekly team meeting, regular telephone sessions to our new and prospective client base and will undertake regular coaching sessions to maximise your potential.
You will complete regular training and development sessions to ensure that you are meeting both customer and company expectations.
The successful candidate will have a strong and coherent plan for finding and winning new business in the marketplace and will be able to demonstrate a track record of doing so.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDIdeally you will come from a managed print background, IT or Telecoms and be familiar with contract based selling.
The role requires someone who is highly active in the field, client orientated, excellent communicator, experienced negotiator and someone who excels at putting the client first.
You will be strong on the telephone, have first class presentation skills, be comfortable with numbers and have experience using a CRM system to report on your sales activity. You will have experience collaborating with your colleagues in other departments to ensure that we are delivering our clients unmet needs.
A can-do attitude, willingness to work with peers and an ability to work within a team environment are also highly desirable in the successful candidate.
