You will provide consultation, assessment, advice, and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families. Building close relationships with colleagues in Education, Health, and Social Care is essential to understand and meet the needs of children with additional challenges.

The Neurodevelopmental Practitioner will be part of the Neurodiversity Multidisciplinary Team, assessing children and young people for neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and ASD.
This role requires clinical judgment in assessment, diagnosis, and management, including developmental assessments, school observations, and individual child observations.
Responsibilities also include contributing to Duty and Triage referrals, with one day per week covering duty hours from 9 am to 5 pm.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure the delivery of high-quality ND assessments within the BeeU team, focusing on children aged 5-18 with social communication and interaction concerns.
2. Conduct ADHD assessments by interpreting complex data from various sources, including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, observations, and interviews.
3. Lead specialist autism assessments using standardized tools like ADI-R and ADOS for children with complex social and communication difficulties.
4. Ensure assessments align with NICE Guidelines and other relevant standards.
5. Maintain high personal standards in clinical practice.
6. Prioritize workload, allocate tasks, and manage all levels of service demand.
7. Make clinical judgments supported by reasoning, and provide appropriate actions or signposting in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
8. Stay informed about national, regional, and local service delivery drivers.
9. Keep up-to-date with developments in neurodevelopmental pathways and children's mental health services.
