This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing planning team in a fast-paced and regulated aircraft maintenance environment. You'll be responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance planning and compliance to support scheduled aircraft inputs. The Role: As a Planning Engineer, you will coordinate the preparation and control of maintenance work packs, ensuring all activities are compliant with Part 145 regulations and customer requirements. You'll also act as the main point of contact for internal departments and external stakeholders throughout the maintenance process. Key Responsibilities - Lead the planning and execution of allocated aircraft maintenance work packs. - Review and analyse incoming work scopes; identify regulatory and airworthiness requirements (ADs, SBs, EOs, CMTs, EWIS, CDCCL, etc.). - Manage the work pack lifecycle from initial build-up to final audit and delivery. - Coordinate pre-load material and tooling requirements with procurement and stores. - Use planning systems such as OASES, AMOS, MyBoeingFleet or Airbus World to control planning data. - Chair pre-input meetings and liaise with production planning and third-party suppliers. - Support continuous improvement of internal planning procedures and documentation. - Ensure strict compliance with company procedures and aviation regulatory frameworks. Ideal Candidate Profile - Demonstrable experience within an aircraft maintenance or aviation MRO environment. - Proven background in engineering planning, ideally within a Part 145 setting. - Technically qualified - HNC, City & Guilds, or a completed engineering apprenticeship preferred. - Minimum 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (grade C or above). - Highly organised, methodical, and quality-focused. - Confident communicator with a proactive attitude to planning challenges. Desirable: - Working knowledge of EASA Part 145 and CAP 562. - Familiarity with aircraft planning software and technical records systems.
