Adoption Social Worker – Adoption Service, North Yorkshire Council. Location: North Yorkshire. Location of posts to be discussed. Flexible work bases and hybrid working available. Salary: From £38,220 to £42,839 per annum pro rata + relocation support. Grade: JK. Contract: Permanent. Hours: Part-time (18.5 hours) with flexible working possible.
Join our highly regarded Adoption Service within One Adoption North and Humber. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Adoption Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Harrogate. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to children and families by supporting them through the adoption journey.
Role
One Adoption North and Humber is committed to providing timely, high-quality services to meet the needs of children who need permanence through adoption. You will be part of a highly acclaimed, supportive service that operates a comprehensive programme of induction.
Responsibilities
* Undertaking assessments of prospective adopters
* Providing adoption support services to children and families
* Providing preparation training to prospective adoptive parents
* Supporting the matching and placing of children

What We’re Looking For / Qualifications
* Qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, CSS, PQCCA)
* Knowledge of adoption legislation, guidance, and best practice
* Strong communication and assessment skills, with the ability to engage with children, families, and adopters
* Ability to work flexibly and travel across the county as needed
