You will work on campaigns and projects that make a real difference to people’s lives. You could find yourself:
1. Using digital and social media to attract and engage residents
2. Going to events across Sutton and interviewing people to create content for different audiences
3. Looking at how audiences are responding to different content
4. Scheduling content across our digital channels
5. Designing materials which are shown across Sutton
6. Responding to media enquiries and speaking to the media to tell our local stories.
We’re looking for someone who is interested in developing their communications skills. Training and support will be provided but a positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to capture content across the borough at least 2 days a week are most important.
About Us
This junior role with Sutton Council’s Communications, Engagement and Public Affairs Team will give you the knowledge and skills needed to begin an exciting career in communications.
You’ll play an important role in our busy and supportive team, helping to ensure the Council speaks with one voice, seeks out and listens to all opinions and concerns of local residents, businesses and partners, delivers on its commitments and responds honestly.
