Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant - Cambridge

A well-established Cambridge accountancy practice is recruiting a Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant to join its growing team.
The Role

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
* Draft statutory financial statements in line with UK GAAP and FRS 102/105.
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
* Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients within varied industries
* Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns
* Producing management accounts and reporting for clients
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Liaising directly with clients and handling queries professionally
* Exposure to audit work if a combined audit/accounts journey is your focus
What We're Looking For
* AAT Level 4 qualified or ACCA / ACA part-qualified or qualified
* 2+ years' experience in a UK accountancy practice
* Experience managing multiple client files and liaising directly with clients
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills - a natural diligence and organised approach
* Confidence working with varied workloads and requirements
* Previous experience with accounting systems such as: Xero, Quickbooks, CCH, Sage
