Job Description
* Develop and refine production processes, work instructions, and tooling specifications
* Drive long-term improvement strategies to enhance productivity and quality
* Support smooth introduction of new products from design into manufacturing
* Utilise Creo to update and optimise technical drawings, 3D models, and assemblies
* Manage design changes and product data using Windchill PLM systems
* Coach operators and technicians on best practices, new procedures, and equipment use
* Conduct ergonomic assessments and design tools to improve workplace safety and efficiency
* Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimise workflow and reduce waste
* Lead investigations into production issues using structured root cause analysis methods
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and drive cost reductions
The Successful Applicant
A successful Production Engineer should have:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field.
* Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of production processes and quality standards.
* Proficiency in using engineering and manufacturing software tools.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* An understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Proficient in Creo 3D CAD software
* Experience with Windchill or similar Product Lifecycle Management systems
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly methods, and design for manufacture (DFM)
* Demonstrated success in delivering process improvements and cost reductions
* Ability to coach, mentor, and influence operators and technicians
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
* Knowledge of ergonomics and practical application in manufacturing environments
* Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and production documentation
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
* Experience in coffee machine or similar consumer appliance sector
