Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Environmental Manager to lead and coordinate environmental support across an exciting project. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact while ensuring compliance with environmental standards and promoting sustainable practises.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the development and implementation of robust environmental processes and systems within the project.\nCollaborate with the supply chain to ensure legislative compliance and foster continuous improvement in environmental and sustainable construction management.\nServe as a recognised expert and trusted advocate for environmental management within the project.\nSupport and guide a team of environmental professionals to ensure effective coordination across various project areas.\nProvide visible environmental engagement and support throughout the project and its supply chain.\nContribute to the National Grid Offshore Environment & Sustainability portfolio strategy, developing specific initiatives that promote positive environmental behaviours.\nParticipate in a high-performing team that prioritises professionalism, integrity, and results.\nAdvise project teams on managing their environmental and sustainability responsibilities.\nImplement overarching management plans and systems tailored for the project.\nCollaborate with National Grid, SSE, and project contractors to ensure compliance with business, contractual, and legislative requirements, while leveraging performance insights to identify risks and improvement opportunities.\nWork closely with the National Grid Lead Sustainability and Environmental Specialist to prepare monthly performance reports on environmental incidents, inspections, and broader sustainability metrics.\nProvide expertise and assistance in addressing environmental incidents.\nFoster a positive SHES culture through proactive and influential behaviours.
