As part of this growth strategy, they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to lead a portfolio of leading regional foodservice and wholesale buying groups across the UK, with national coverage and full P&L accountability.
This is also a brilliant development platform for an ambitious commercial talent looking to reach National Account Manager level within the next 18 to 24 months.
As Business Development Manager (official title Key Account Manager ), you will take national ownership of several leading regional and national wholesale and foodservice accounts across the UK. Reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with the Managing Director, you will drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and lay the foundations for your progression to full NAM level over the next 1824 months.
Take full commercial responsibility for your account portfolio, managing trading performance, customer relationships, and long-term commercial success.
Win new listings, expand existing ranges, and lead the charge on bringing World Foods into new menus, regions, and operators.
Operate with commercial visibility at contribution level, learning and influencing the broader financial picture.
Act as the key interface between customer and brand.
Sales Execution and Brand Activation
Ensure brand plans land effectively. Translate brand strength into commercial wins across listings, promotions, and joint initiatives.
Work cross-functionally with internal teams to shape campaigns, unlock growth opportunities, and tailor propositions to different regional needs.
Progression to National Account Manager Level

Experience managing regional or national accounts in FMCG, ideally food or drink
Confidence managing trading conversations, pricing, and promotions
Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs
Experience in World Foods, Wholesale, or Foodservice is desirable but not essential
