Band 5 Registered Community Nurse
Short‑Term Contract with a Leading NHS Community Service (North & North‑East West Midlands)
Fox Morris Group are delighted to be supporting a well‑established NHS community healthcare provider in the North and North‑East West Midlands region. We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Registered Community Nurse for an ASAP start, working Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, on an initial 12‑week contract with an option for extension.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and skilled nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in the community while enjoying a stable, weekday working pattern.
About the Role
As a Community Staff Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to patients in their own homes, residential settings, and community clinics. You’ll work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team to:
* Complete holistic assessments and develop tailored care plans
* Deliver a range of clinical interventions (including wound care, catheter & bowel management, tissue viability assessments and disease management support)
* Promote independence, self‑management and improved wellbeing
* Prevent avoidable hospital admissions by providing timely, responsive care
* Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records in line with NMC standards
* Communicate sensitively with patients and families, often in emotionally complex situations
* Work autonomously, including lone working in the community
Essential Criteria
To be considered, you must have:
* NMC registration (Adult Nurse)
* Previous community nursing and/or district nursing experience – this is essential
* Confidence working independently across a geographically varied caseload
* Strong clinical assessment, care planning and communication skills
* Ability to start as soon as possible
