The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team, specialising in the Water Utility sector. You will take responsibility for overseeing the administration, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, while ensuring commercial performance and compliance with NEC, FIDIC, or bespoke agreements. This role will see you play a pivotal part in risk management, stakeholder collaboration, and supporting the successful delivery of major water infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities…
As a Contracts Manager you will:
* Administer and manage contracts throughout the full project lifecycle.
* Interpret and ensure compliance with NEC, FIDIC, or bespoke contract terms.
* Act as the key contact for all contractual queries and disputes.
* Support tendering processes, bid evaluation, risk assessments, and pricing.
* Prepare and review variations, claims, and extensions of time.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and legal teams.
* Produce accurate records, reports, and documentation for senior management.
Your skills and experiences:
* 5+ years of proven contract management experience within water, utilities, or infrastructure.
* Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, FIDIC, or similar frameworks.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail with proven problem-solving ability.
* Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines effectively.
* Sound understanding of regulated industry project delivery.
* A collaborative leadership approach with the ability to inspire and support teams.
