Martin House provides free specialist palliative care to babies, children and young people with complex and life‑shortening conditions. Families from across West, North and East Yorkshire have access to our care 24/7, 365 days a year, including specialist doctors. Every year we care for more than 550 families, at the hospice, in hospital and in families own homes, as well as supporting around 200 bereaved family members. We do things differently from the exceptional care we provide to the innovative, sector‑leading way we fundraise and engage our communities. We are now looking for an experienced and ambitious Trusts & Foundations Team Manager to lead and grow one of our most vital income streams.
Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and develop the Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser through regular 1:1s, appraisals and performance management.
* Develop persuasive and innovative funding proposals for regional and national trusts and foundations.
* Build, manage and refresh a strong pipeline of prospective funders.
* Secure and account‑manage high‑value grants (£50k+).
* Develop effective stewardship plans to build long‑term relationships.
* Manage the Trusts & Foundations budget, including analysis, forecasting and reporting.
* Ensure timely, impactful reporting and communications to funders.
* Keep abreast of developments in the trust and foundation funding landscape.
* Make best use of CRM systems to inform strategy and decision making.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced trusts fundraiser with a proven track record of securing significant grants and managing complex funding relationships. You’ll be a confident people manager, an excellent communicator, and someone who thrives on building strong, long‑term partnerships.
Qualifications
* Proven success in securing grants of £50k+ from trusts and foundations.
* Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
* Experience of developing compelling cases for support and managing funding pipelines.
