Live-In Support Worker – Learning Disabilities Location: Multiple locations in Yeovil Job Type: Live-In Support | Regular Bookings | Minimum 2-Week Assignments We are seeking a compassionate and experienced female Live-In Support Worker to assist an adult with learning disabilities in their own home in Salisbury. This role offers regular ongoing work with bookings ranging from 1 to 3 weeks, providing consistency, stability, and the chance to build a meaningful therapeutic relationship. Shift Details Hours: 7:00am – 10:00pm (Live-in) Working Pattern: 6 days per week Breaks: 2-hour break per day 1x 8-hour extended break per week ⚕️ Client Overview Level of Support: Moderate Primary Needs / Conditions: * Adult with learning disabilities and communication needs * Requires support with daily routines and structured activities * May need prompts or assistance with personal care * Requires emotional reassurance and support with decision-making * Responds best to calm, patient, and consistent communication * Enjoys routine, clear boundaries, and predictable days Key Responsibilities * Supporting daily living skills and personal care * Helping with communication and engagement * Encouraging independence in household tasks * Planning and supporting social or community activities * Monitoring wellbeing and responding to emotional or behavioural needs * Preparing simple, nutritious meals * Maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive home environment Skills & Requirements * Experience working with adults with learning disabilities * Understanding of communication needs, sensory needs, or behaviours of concern * Confident with care plans, routines, and maintaining clear boundaries * Kind, patient, and consistent with excellent communication skills * Must be female (due to client’s preference) What We Offer * Regular, ongoing live-in bookings in the Salisbury area * Support from a friendly and professional care team * Weekly pay and 24/7 on-call support * Opportunities for continuous, repeat bookings based on performance If you are an experienced support worker who is passionate about empowering people with learning disabilities — we’d love to hear from you.
