Who You Are Swindon Borough Council is seeking Experienced Social Workers to join the Family Safeguarding Service. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in a permanent setting and must be a licensed car driver. You should be capable of working in the office three days per week. Relocation or travel reimbursement subsidy is available for those living over 50 miles from Swindon until February 2026. What the Job Involves As part of a dynamic team organized into pods containing 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager, you will optimize the management, oversight, and support of social work practices. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, including parenting assessments, and developing outcome-focused care plans. You will manage care proceedings in both private and public courts to ensure permanency plans, such as adoption, are achieved. Additionally, you will handle the complexity of risks and provide thorough analysis in your records.
