About the Role: As the General Manager, you will lead the venue’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance while driving revenue growth. We’re seeking a highly driven General Manager with a keen instinct for what draws audiences and sells tickets in today’s live entertainment landscape. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of identifying, evaluating, and booking top talent while maintaining strong relationships with agents, managers, and industry partners. This role requires someone with their finger on the pulse of current trends, who understands what resonates with audiences and can translate that into successful programming. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of talent acquisition, contract negotiations, and event planning to ensure consistent growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Revenue & Sales Growth: Drive pre-booked sales, marketing campaigns, and in-house promotions to meet and exceed sales targets. Staff Management: Lead a management team, overseeing stock management, cash control, and staff development. Operational Excellence: Uphold venue standards, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with Health & Safety and licensing laws. Recruitment & Payroll: Manage recruitment, payroll, and employee development initiatives. Customer Experience: Maintain the highest levels of customer service, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all visitors. Knowledge of Trends: Stay current with musical trends and industry best practices. Scout and secure talent that aligns with audience demand and market trends Negotiate with agents and managers to structure fair and profitable deals Develop and execute programming strategies that maximize ticket sales Build and maintain industry relationships to stay ahead of emerging talent Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in managing a late-night bar, club, or high-volume venue. Strong knowledge of back-of-house operations and HR systems. Up-to-date understanding of Health & Safety and licensing compliance. Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
