SEN Teacher – Alternative Provision

Warwickshire
Full-Time
Paid To Scale

At Teaching Personnel, we are working closely with a small and dedicated mainstream Primary school in the Warwickshire area. With the White Paper Reform, we are seeing an increase in SEN Specialist educators from September.

We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and highly motivated SEN Teacher to join our new alternative provision starting in September, ideally with a July handover.

This provision supports children with a range of additional and complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH needs, sensory processing needs and trauma-related behaviours. Many pupils require a highly personalised approach to learning, emotional regulation and communication.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about inclusion and committed to helping every child feel safe, valued and successful.

The Successful Candidate Will:

* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP and ISP outcomes and learning needs
* Support children with complex SEND needs through personalised teaching, nurture approaches and adaptive strategies
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to promote emotional wellbeing, confidence and self-regulation
* Manage and support behaviours that may challenge using restorative and trauma-informed approaches
* Work closely with teaching assistants to deliver targeted interventions and personalised support
* Monitor pupil progress academically, socially and emotionally, maintaining accurate records and reports
* Liaise effectively with parents, carers, external professionals and the wider school team
* Promote inclusion and support successful reintegration into mainstream classes where appropriate
* Provide consistent routines, structure and positive behaviour support throughout the school day
* Support pupils with communication difficulties using visual supports, sensory strategies and alternative communication methods where needed

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH and/or complex additional needs
* Understands trauma-informed and nurturing approaches to behaviour and learning
* Demonstrates patience, empathy and emotional resilience
* Has strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Can work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Is committed to inclusive education and achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable learners
* Has excellent communication and organisational skills

We Offer:

* A supportive and inclusive school community
* A well-resourced alternative provision environment
* Access to ongoing CPD, specialist SEND training and First Aid training
* A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your work, both in person with visits to the school or online, dependant on preference
* Opportunities for career progression and leadership development
* A committed and experienced pastoral and safeguarding team
* The opportunity to make a lasting difference to children and families
