Role Overview
Full time 37.5 hours per week. This Band 5 Radiographer role offers opportunities to work across a range of clinical settings including A&E, outpatient plain film, CT, fluoroscopy, theatres, dental imaging and a seven‑day service. The successful candidate will participate in clinical audit, CPD and departmental research.
Key Responsibilities
* Observe Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 and local rules, ensuring radiation protection for self, patient and others.
* Undertake radiographic examinations to a high standard, including CT head and neck, plain film, fluoroscopy and theatre imaging.
* Provide a high quality imaging service, maintaining technical quality and patient dignity.
* Participate in clinical audit, CPD activities and departmental research.
* Work independently during out‑of‑hours duties, prioritising and organising workload to meet demand.
* Supervise and assess students and assistant practitioners, supporting professional development.
* Maintain equipment, perform quality assurance checks and document faults promptly.
Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
* Registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC).
Minimum experience of 1–2 years in a radiography setting is desirable but newly qualified radiographers who qualify this summer are encouraged to apply.

* Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a versatile team.
* Knowledge of radiographic protocols, PACS/SIS system operation and a wide range of technical equipment.
