Monitoring and implementing high quality provision according to the EYFS and ensuring the smooth everyday running of your room.
• Set up and ensure the delivery of a stimulating environment each day.
• Ensure the room is fully resourced with equipment and resources that reflect the childrens needs and interests.
• Create and maintain open communication with staff team to ensure the environment reflects the needs of all the children.
• To keep knowledge updated by attending training and keeping up to date with statutory guidance.
• Ensure that child/staff ratios are always adhered to, and staff are deployed effectively within your room.
• Responsible for ensuring that all daily checklists are completed on time and accurately and that the environment is safe and free from hazards.
• Delegate to staff team to ensure that everyone has a role.
• Take on additional roles if required, e.g., Behaviour Management Co-ordinator.
• Liaise with Manager to support with staff supervisions and appraisals.
• Liaise with manager regularly about the children and parents in your room regarding safeguarding, SEN.
• Keep confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is learnt as part of the job.
• Administer children's medicine and complete relevant documents.
• Ensure the first aid box is fully stocked.
• Monitor Children's online learning journals to ensure they have sufficient evidence.
• Develop the staff in your room by sharing knowledge and skills with them to enable them to work at their best.
• Fulfill key worker role - Create secure bonds with your key children and their families to ensure that you understand the unique child. Support Children's Learning and development through in the moment planning and planning of their interests.
• Monitor and assess key children and highlight any developmental delays or additional educational needs and liaise with SENCO need for support, additional help or support from external agencies.
