Responsibilities
Support worker duties include assisting with daily routines, personal care, monitoring of equipment (including PEG and non-invasive ventilation as applicable) and helping the client access the community. The role is part of a small, dedicated team providing 24/7 care and support in a home environment. You’ll assist with daily activities, personal care, and equipment monitoring, while respecting the client’s routines and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.
Hours & Pay
Hours: 20 hours per week. Sundays and Mondays waking night 22:00–07:00. There is potential for additional hours. Pay: Day hours £12.74 per hour; Night hours/Sundays £16.56 per hour.
Requirements
Local resident or access to a car is preferred due to remote location and limited public transport around shift times. Ability to commit to regular shifts with some flexibility to cover holidays or sickness. No prior experience with PEG care or non-invasive ventilation is required; full training will be provided. Candidate should be confident, attentive, willing to learn, comfortable working in a home environment, and respectful of routines. Being good with dogs is important as the family dog is part of the team.
