Summary of the Role
The People Operations Assistant’s role is divided into online video meetings and volunteer admin tasks. The meetings guide new volunteers through their Essential Training Sign-Off and Orientation Sessions. These ensure the volunteers have understood their online training, underpinning the knowledge needed for their role and other important issues that ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
The volunteer admin tasks are relatively simple, but require someone organised with an eye for detail. The tasks ensure the smooth management of important milestones in the volunteers journey with us. Being a fully volunteer-led organisation, the People Operations Assistant holds a very prestigious place within the heart of the organisation.
This is a part-time, flexible, and volunteer role. Work is remote, and while we welcome everyone, you must have the legal right to work and to live in the United Kingdom .
Responsibilities
* Hold online “Essential Training Sign-Off Meetings” with new volunteers.
* Hold online “Orientation Meetings” with new volunteers.
* Check and note volunteers' Monthly Hours.
* Send six-month assessments to volunteers and follow up with meetings if necessary
* Send Volunteer Exit forms and follow up
* Other volunteer-related tasks.
* Attend weekly meetings with the Founder to discuss ideas, progress and plan work.

* Sensitivity to different volunteers’ needs.

Other Requirements
* Computer, with functioning video and a good internet connection is essential.
