Overview
Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the Visual Merchandising Director is responsible for the physical expression of the brand across windows, stores, events, experiences, and pop-ups.
The Visual Merchandising Director will lead a team to create visually stunning displays that showcase Stella McCartney products in the most compelling and attractive ways, aligning with the brand values and narrative. Additionally, you will oversee the store planning team to ensure a cohesive design approach across all retail stores and drive the entire visual experience in a 360 manner.
Your Mission:
* Develops and directs global visual merchandising, planogram, and display strategies, working with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Creative, Retail, and Communications) to ensure visual assets support the global 360 program.
* Manage and maintain Stella McCartney Visual Merchandising standards and guidelines, ensuring effective communication to all teams globally.
* Design, develop, and execute temporary/permanent merchandising units related to seasonal campaigns/collections, issuing merchandising guidelines.
* Oversee merchandising projects from inception to execution, maximizing productivity, efficiency, and meeting deadlines.
* Stay updated on merchandising trends, conduct store visits, and research trends and materials with a focus on sustainability and ethics.
* Drive store planning and architecture to ensure alignment with Stella McCartney's ethos and to enhance customer sales and footfall.
* Maintain relationships with stakeholders, conduct regular meetings, and review regional launches.
* Support wider business initiatives, analyze product performance, and develop strategic merchandise directions.
* Lead and coach the team to perform at their best.
* Collaborate with marketing and communications to ensure brand messaging consistency.
* Conduct store visits to ensure standards are met and provide feedback.
* Stay current with visual merchandising trends and incorporate innovations into strategy.
* Translate brand narrative into physical touchpoints consistent with store layouts and displays.
