Our Repair Shop at Selhurst depot is looking for a Service Engineer Level 2, you will be Responsible for carrying out repair fault finding and maintenance work as directed by the Team Leader/Production Manager to the required standards and specification.
* Carry out repairs or additional work arising from examination (Mechanical, Electrical or Vehicle building).
* Carry out component changes/lift as required.
* Work effectively as part of a team, including taking the lead when appropriate.
* Comply with safety systems and responsibilities.
* Complete paperwork required.
* Develop a pro-active approach to safety and quality matters.
If You Have The Experience…..
* Served an Apprenticeship or skills development programme equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
* Able to demonstrate (interview or exam) a thorough understanding of rolling stock engineering.
* Familiar with rolling stock maintained or repaired by Southern.
* Be physically fit and able to pass a medical to Engineering standard.
* Be able to pass PTS and Designated Person (Track Course).
* Competent to carry out fault finding on units.
* Willing to learn new skills appropriate to train maintenance.
* Brief, coach, advise and mentor other staff.
