Your role will be varied working across different shift times, tasks and with different colleagues.
There’s no such thing as a “normal” day in retail, but this role will involve serving customers, stocking products, and supporting store operations.
What you’ll do
* Interacting with the customer in a pleasant, friendly and helpful manner
* Ensuring stock loss controls are followed in all areas of the store
* Maintaining store and external cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Following freshness and rotation principles
* Ensuring all waste is managed correctly
* Assisting in the stock count process
What you’ll need
* A can-do attitude and excellent customer service skills
* Willingness to go the extra mile for our customers
* To be responsible and reliable
* To enjoy working in a fast-paced, varied environment
* A good team player
* Preferably, previous experience in a customer facing role but this is not essential provided you have the right attitude
What you’ll receive
We offer a competitive and transparent salary system, that ensures pay equality across all positions at Lidl.
* £12.40 per hour rising to £14.10 per hour after 3 years
* Additional supplements paid depending on the days & hours worked

Shift patterns
* Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am with your team, you’ll be getting our award-winning products fully stocked on the shop floor and our bakery products ready for customers by opening time.
* Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, you’ll ensure stores are clean and well presented, keep products fresh, help customers on the shop floor, and work on tills.
* Late shift: From the afternoon, you’ll provide a top-class customer experience on tills, restock missing items and prepare the store for the next day.
