Personal Tax Senior Liverpool City Centre- Hybrid Working A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice is currently seeking an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their growing tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and technically strong individual to take ownership of a personal tax portfolio, working closely with senior leadership while maintaining a high degree of autonomy. The role is suited to someone who enjoys building client relationships and delivering high-quality compliance work. This is a senior-level position with no line management responsibilities. The Role and Responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance work is completed accurately and within deadlines Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns Handling a range of personal tax matters, including income tax and capital gains tax, with some exposure to inheritance tax Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs to resolve queries and manage client matters efficiently Monitoring deadlines and ensuring work is delivered in line with regulatory requirements Identifying potential advisory opportunities and escalating where appropriate Essential skills required: ATT and/or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience A minimum of five years’ personal tax experience within an accountancy practice Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients from onboarding through to completion Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships Highly organised with the ability to manage competing deadlines Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision The Opportunity Ownership of a varied and established client portfolio Close working relationship with senior tax leadership Supportive and collaborative working environment Opportunity to further develop technical expertise and client-facing skills
