Pharmacy Dispenser
I am currently accepting applications from Pharmacy Dispensers to work within an acute based setting. This is a great opportunity if you are working in a community pharmacy and would like to make the transition over to clinical, where you will be supported and have continuous training.
The Dispenser will assist in the provision of a safe, efficient, and timely pharmaceutical service within the Trust. This includes the accurate assembly, dispensing, and distribution of medications under the supervision of registered pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Trust policies.
Responsibilities
* Dispense prescriptions accurately under supervision, following standard operating procedures.
* Prepare and label medicines for inpatient and outpatient use.
* Assist in the issue and distribution of stock to wards and departments.
* Maintain stock levels in dispensary and ward areas, including expiry date checks.
* Use pharmacy IT systems to input, track, and manage prescriptions and inventory.
* Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
* Adhere to health and safety, infection control, and data protection policies.
Eligibility Criteria
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) - essential
* Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
* Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Proof of Right to Work in UK

Band 2 and Band 3 HSCNI payscales
