Oracle HCM Cloud Architect - Outside IR35 - 12 Months
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle Cloud HCM Architect to lead the design, architecture, and integration of the Human Capital Management module as part of a large-scale Oracle Cloud Fusion transformation programme. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that the HCM solution is robust, compliant, user-focused, and seamlessly integrated into a complex enterprise environment.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Oracle Cloud HCM functionality, UK statutory compliance, and the ability to work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver a best-in-class solution.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
* Lead the end-to-end solution design for Oracle Cloud HCM, including Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Absence, Benefits, and associated components.
* Define architecture principles, design patterns, and integration frameworks to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
* Translate business requirements into a solution blueprint that aligns with enterprise standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Work closely with Project Managers, Enterprise Architects, Workstream Leads, and SMEs to capture and refine requirements.
* Facilitate design workshops and provide expert guidance on Oracle HCM capabilities, configurations, and limitations.
* Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Finance functions to ensure the solution meets operational and compliance needs.
Integration & Compliance
* Oversee integration design between Oracle HCM and other systems (eg, Finance, Payroll, Benefits Providers, Identity Management).
* Ensure full compliance with UK-specific requirements, including Tax, Pensions, HMRC RTI, and employment regulations.
* Define data migration strategies and ensure data quality during the transition from Legacy systems.
Governance & Delivery
* Ensure all designs align with governance processes, security policies, and programme objectives.
* Provide assurance and oversight during build, test, and deployment phases.
* Manage risks, dependencies, and design changes effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience as a Solution or Technical Architect on Oracle Cloud HCM implementations.
* Strong functional and technical understanding of Oracle Cloud HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Talent, Benefits).
* Proven track record delivering UK-based implementations with detailed knowledge of statutory compliance (Tax, Pensions, HMRC RTI, Expenses).
* Experience integrating Oracle HCM with multiple enterprise and third-party systems.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Higher Education sector experience or other large, complex organisational environments.
* Knowledge of other Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP modules (Finance, Procurement).
* Understanding of cloud security and GDPR compliance in HCM environments.
