Pennine Recruitment, acting as an employment agency, are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for an established international manufacturing business in the West Yorkshire area.
This is a permanent position working on a 3 shift rotating pattern – 6-2/2-10/10-6 with some weekend cover on a rota. The starting salary is £45,848 PA with weekends paid at time and a half/double time as overtime.
This is a role with a growing company and a variety of internal opportunities.
The Role
* Ensure all safety protocols are followed
* Root cause analysis / Fault finding and diagnosis on a range of mechanical and electrical factory equipment
* Carry out planned maintenance
* Offer solutions to improve downtime and health and safety on and around the machinery
* Working in a team environment and capable of working independently
Qualifications/Experience
* Time served / Apprentice trained or to Degree/HNC level or equivalent
* Experience of mechanical engineering in a heavy industry environment
* Understanding of PLC and general electrical knowledge to a basic or intermediate level
* Lathe/ Milling and fabrication experience to a basic/ intermediate level
