FLT Production Operative - Birtley
We are recruiting a number FLT Production Operatives to join a leading manufacturing client in Birtley.
These are long-term opportunities which combine forklift duties and hands-on production responsibilities. Some positions also require a full UK driving licence due to transporting materials between units.
Key Duties
*
Operating Counterbalance FLT safely
*
Transporting materials across site (and between units where required)
*
Working on a fast-paced production line
*
Machine operation
*
Packing and quality checking products
*
Manual handling and lifting
*
Vessel cleaning using jet wash equipment
*
Working with solvent-based products (PPE provided)
*
Adhering to COSHH and health & safety procedures
*
Completing shift handovers
Shift Pattern
*
2 days 6:00am – 6:00pm
*
2 nights 6:00pm – 6:00am
*
4 days off
Continental rotating pattern which involves some weekend working. Breaks are paid.
Requirements
*
Accredited Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
*
Full UK driving licence for positions involving transport between units (where applicable)
*
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
*
Able to work continental shifts
*
Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
*
Good attention to detail and teamwork skills
