Salary: c£85,000-£90,000 basic, plus comprehensive package including car or allowance, healthcare, performance bonus, pension, and more.</p><p>An award-winning Main Contractor with a busy pipeline of work across Hertfordshire is looking for a Senior Design Manager to join the business working on a new Prison refurbishment project in Hertfordshire - the programme of work spans approximately 4 years in duration. The project includes internal refurbishment and a number of external elements including windows. The Senior Design Manager will be responsible for managing the design process from early feasibility and planning stages through to on-site coordination and delivery.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Act as the primary liaison between the design team, client, and on-site delivery team.</li><li>Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.</li><li>Drive an efficient design process aligned with project timelines and commercial targets.</li><li>Support innovation in design and construction methodologies.</li><li>Adopt a process-driven approach, maintaining strong technical understanding of construction and a keen attention to detail.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Skills</h3><ul><li>Minimum of 10 years experience in the construction industry.</li><li>Previous roles may include: Technical Manager, Senior Design Manager, Design Manager, Senior Design Coordinator, Design & Build Manager.</li><li>HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.</li><li>Security Clearance would be advantageous.</li></ul><h3>Desirable Experience</h3><ul><li>Sector experience working on prisons is essential for this position.</li></ul></div>
