Job Description
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading engineering activities and driving improvements across manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of engineers and technicians.
* Driving a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
* Designing and optimising manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
* Managing capital expenditure projects from concept through installation and validation.
* Ensuring compliance with quality systems, ISO standards and health & safety requirements.
* Collaborating with production, quality and supply chain teams to support product introduction and volume manufacture.
* Monitoring and reporting performance metrics, identifying trends and improvement actions.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will act as a technical authority, combining strategic thinking with hands‑on engineering support.
Skills & Experience
To be successful as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will ideally demonstrate:
* Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
* Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Proven experience delivering capital projects and process improvements.
* Proficiency with CAD software.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong analytical ability with a results‑driven mindset.
