Overview
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialist inpatient service for young people with eating disorders. This role can be full or part time focusing on delivering evidence-based Tier 4 CAMHS care to individuals aged 12–18, all within a safe and structured 16-bed unit designed to support therapeutic engagement and recovery.
You will work as part of an experienced, multidisciplinary team delivering a programme of care that includes CBT, CRT, and motivational therapies.
Responsibilities
* Lead inpatient care as Responsible Clinician for a 16-bed CAMHS unit
* Provide psychiatric assessments and review treatment plans
* Attend MDTs, ICRs, CPAs and tribunals
* Oversee mental health act responsibilities, including CETRs
* Supervise clinical staff and support risk management processes
* Participate in CPD and clinical governance initiatives
* Take part in CAMHS Consultant on-call rota
Qualifications
* Specialist Register status in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
* MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
* Experience with CAMHS and eating disorders (inpatient desirable)
* Section 12(2) and AC approval (or eligibility)
* Excellent clinical leadership and communication skills
Salary and Benefits
* Salary: Up to £165k dependant on experience + £8,400 car allowance + £10,000 bonus
