We are looking for dedicated and passionate Maths Tutors to work with pupils outside the traditional school setting, across Gateshead and Newcastle. You will provide one-on-one tuition in the home or a local community hub to help students improve their maths skills, gain confidence, and reach their academic goals. Tutor Responsibilities: Provide tailored maths sessions to pupils based on their individual needs and learning styles. Track student progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement, using our bespoke cloud-based tracking programe. Build positive relationships with students, encouraging a growth mindset and self-confidence in their abilities. Support students in exam preparation, homework help, and improving their overall maths skills. Essential Tutor Requirements: Strong knowledge of the maths National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 or 4. Previous experience tutoring maths to students outside of the school system or those with additional needs. Patience, adaptability, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students. Qualified Teacher Status in maths or the equivalent tutoring experience.
