Job Description
We currently have an opening for a CHP Field Engineer (Engineering Tech) based in Northeast (NE/York). This role is 40 hours per week. I have attached a copy of the job description. I hope you will be able to find some suitable candidates for this position.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Day to day operations and maintenance including fault diagnosis, location, and rectification.
2. Planned maintenance and breakdown response for the generating assets with minimum outages.
3. A commitment to continuous enhancement of skills and knowledge, and that of the technicians working with you.
4. Avoiding unnecessary expenditure by using skills and tools available within the company.
5. Ensuring a stock of basic spare parts as detailed by the Area Supervisor is replenished and always available.
6. A commitment to Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices following all procedures and using your own judgement.
7. Reducing the company’s reliance on contractors wherever this is economically prudent.
8. Compliance and implementation of company protection procedures with a proactive approach to maintaining, monitoring, reporting, and auditing.
9. Managing your time and travel effectively, staying away from home when appropriate.
10. Compliance with all legislation.
11. Seek guidance and advice from the Engineering and Management team in anything you are unsure of.
Knowledge/Experience:
* Extensive knowledge and experience of Electrical, Heat, and Mechanical maintenance.
* Recognised level in an Electrical skill or relevant experience in the field.
* Experience with electric control systems 12v DC – 415v AC 30ø.
* Fault location, diagnosis, and rectification.
* Gasafe accreditation or ability to complete within probation.
* Electrical qualification or ability to complete 18th edition within probation.
* Experience working with Natural Gas Peaker Plants, CHP, PV, Energy Storage, HVAC systems is advantageous.
* Computer literate.
* Hold full UK drivers licence.
