EMEA Category Specialist, Packaging Job Description An exciting opportunity has become available within the Global Procurement team as Regional Procurement Specialist - EMEA reporting to the Global Procurement Sr. Manager for Flexible Packaging. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to develop further their existing skills and experience within the dynamic Procurement team. As a Regional Procurement Specialist, you will be working closely with all Procurement organization, GBS, Supply Chain, Marketing, R&D and Suppliers to deliver compliant and efficient results to K-C. Position Overview: The Regional Procurement Specialist will support the sourcing of Flexible Packaging for the EMEA region. This is a major value purchase area with significant implications in company profitability as this is critical for cost effectiveness, service efficiency, product quality, regulatory compliance, and is a vital pillar for K-C brands. In partnership with the Packaging managers, you will influence senior leadership and suppliers to deliver category strategy through strong supplier collaboration and commercial awareness. This requires working closely with Procurement, R&D and Marketing professionals in cross-functional teams. Location: Any K-C based country in EMEA Key Responsibilities: · Develop and maintain close and co-operative relationships with key business partners enabling the efficient and compliant delivery of key activities, · Manage interactions between K-C suppliers and our internal business partners to ensure business needs are met on an ongoing basis, · Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms and ensure alignment with procurement objectives, · Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure business continuity and compliance, · Monitor and report on supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with business goals, · Encourage sustainable procurement practices by focusing on environmentally responsible flexible packaging solutions and ensuring supplier compliance with sustainability objectives, · Conduct regular market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the procurement landscape, · Support Contract Management activities for existing and new contracts across key categories of spend to ensure we operate in a controlled and compliant way, · Represent Procurement in relevant project meetings requiring packaging input, · Work closely with Packaging Global and Regional Category Managers to support the delivery of strategic procurement activities, · Support Quality Claims management activities for Packaging, · Support any transactional Procurement activities which includes price list updates, vendor set up, WAVE hygiene and others, · Identify opportunities to improve existing activities and processes in collaboration with Procurement COE, GBS and stakeholders, · Ensure that internal control requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner, · Prepare and maintain Standard Works and SOPs, ensuring relevant controls and ongoing process improvements.
